Berg at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.<br><br>Eakta earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she received multiple Book Awards and served on the executive board of the Peer Mentor Program. ABOUT Brooke N. Mathis is a current resident of the City of Detroit and enjoys giving back to her community through her practice at CURE Insurance Company, where she has been employed as the Supervising PIP Attorney since 2025. EDUCATION + COURT ADMISSION In 2012, Brooke earned her Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in Political Science. During her studies at Michigan State, Brooke worked in several capacities in the restaurant business, to pay her way through college. Brooke graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 2017 with a Bronze Key distinction for academic achievement. During law school, Brooke was a lead competitor on the Mock Trial National Team and earned the John E.S. Scott Endowed Memorial Scholarship for trial advocacy. Brooke also worked at a renowned personal injury firm for two years during law school, which taught her much about lead poisoning, dog bite, wrongful death and motor vehicle collision cases. He has conducted trials in both a first and second chair capacity.
